The Waterbury Bar Association Memorial Scholarship Fund exists to provide financial support to deceased members’ children who wish to continue their educations. Contributions to this Fund can be made in memory of any deceased member.
The Waterbury Bar Association offers three scholarships:
A single application is adequate for all Scholarships. The awarding of the respective Scholarships is determined by the Association’s Scholarship Committee.
For the Association and Bar President’s Scholarships, applicants must be residents of the Waterbury Judicial District (Middlebury, Naugatuck, Prospect, Southbury, Watertown, Wolcott, Woodbury or Waterbury) and be in or entering their final year of study in the Fall at an accredited law school.
Applicants for the Traurig Scholarship must also be residents of the Waterbury Judicial District but can be entering their second or final year of study in the Fall as a full or part-time student at an accredited institution.
The Waterbury Bar Association is offering a $500.00 scholarship to an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited paralegal or legal assistant program.
The applicant must reside or presently work in the Waterbury Judicial District (consisting of the towns of Middlebury, Naugatuck, Prospect, Southbury, Watertown, Wolcott, Woodbury and Waterbury).
