DESCRIPTION:Save the Date!  LAW DAY 2025 will be celebrated on Friday\, May 16\, 2025 at 9:30 AM in Courtroom 1A at the 400 Grand Street Superior Court.  The theme for this year is “The Constitution’s Promise: Out of Many\, One.” \nThe Constitution enshrines our collective responsibility to one another\, and the 2025 Law Day theme urges us to take pride in a Constitution that bridges our differences to bring us together as a united nation. Our civic lives tie us together as one “We\,” whether through legislative efforts that serve the common good\, through military service\, or by working together\, every day\, to fulfill the promise of E pluribus unum\, or “Out of many\, one.” Your attendance and participation are essential to making this year’s Law Day a great success. \nThe following awards will be presented: \nLiberty Bell Award: This award will be presented to a local individual who has demonstrated a willingness to serve his or her community.  The individual must be someone who is not an attorney or member of the courthouse staff.  Other than the foregoing restrictions\, any individual who has benefited the Greater Waterbury Area in a noteworthy manner would be a fine nominee. \nCourthouse Personnel Award: This award will be presented to any member of any Greater Waterbury Area courthouse who has demonstrated services above and beyond his or her duty.  Personnel at any of the courthouses are eligible and nominations may be made by members of the judiciary\, fellow personnel and members of the bar. \nWaterbury Young Lawyers Award: This award will be presented to a local attorney who has demonstrated a willingness to serve his or her community and who perpetuates a positive image of our profession.  The individual need not be a “young lawyer.” \nPlease take a few moments and submit your nominations.  It is important that we take this opportunity to recognize those individuals who help to enrich our communities. \nKindly submit nominations on or before April 17\, 2025.  Nominations may be submitted by mail to Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey\, LLP\, Attention: Jeff Beck\, 50 Leavenworth Street\, P.O.
